Becoming an Epic Dungeon Master, 5-week class

Week 1: Foundations of an Epic Dungeon Master

• Establish core DM skills and fundamentals: Covers world-building, session zero, player engagement and ends with a practical exercise. 

Week 2: Storytelling & Narrative Control

• Learn to create compelling stories and dynamic worlds without railroading. Create an artful story, villains and NPCs, lively improve and finish with a practical exercise. 

Week 3: Mechanics & Encounter Design

• Master game balance, combat design, and problem-solving. Balance and encounter, and learn the difference between rules mastery and rules flexibility. Manage player conflict and set boundaries. 

Week 4: Advanced Roleplaying & Player Investment

• Enhance immersion, player investment, and campaign longevity. Deepen your role-playing techniques with immersion and tension, weave player backstories into the campaign and generate long-term player investment like a professional. 

Week 5: Running a Legendary Campaign

• Learn advanced techniques to sustain long-term campaigns and execute a polished DMing style. Learn how to structure a campaign for long-term pacing, planning for high level and epic level encounters and how to have an impactful "final session" of a season or campaign. 

By the end of this masterclass, participants will be equipped to run engaging, dynamic, and epic D&D campaigns with confidence!
